Kure Beach and a run in with the wildlife

This is the shark Suzy stepped on -it was dying already when they netted it. Lifeguard said it had been hooked in the gills by a fisherman and was probably bleeding out. Kids were thrilled - mamas, not so much!

Lily and her cousins Hannah and Whitley took a surfing lesson - we were all shocked that they did so well. Seemed almost effortless! My brothers took paddle boarding lessons later in the afternoon - not so effortless, apparently ;-)
